Where do I began. After using an older IBM Thinkpad 600e

this thing is a hoss. Fast processor , and Fast RAM, does everything I need , and then some. Feels solid, reliable, no heating issues, runs for hours on end if needed. I'm using two , yes two ,operating systems on this computer, both Windows XP Professional, and Linux Mint 11. It runs both without any problems, complications or issues. Screen resolution is amazing, boot up time is fast, and I've easily found software specifically for this machine easily through the IBM Website. Added the movie player, and RecordNow. Both of which I use, and often.

Internet connectivity with the built in wireless card is so nice, efficient, and handy not having a wireless card sticking out in the way. Connectivity is better, built in Wireless-G card works very well in both Windows and Linux mode.

As far as battery life, the battery that arrived with the laptop wasn't so great, no one can really warranty a used battery anyway, a new 9-cell high capacity battery is on it's way, and I'm expecting easily 4-5 hours of mobile time with this unit, this information from just simple Googling .

These IBM Thinkpad's are extraordinarily durable machines, structurally sound, with plenty of protection around the motherboard, processor, and all internal components, built to do business, but very stable machines for the average home user. Faster processor and 2GB RAM provide fast operating processing, internet usage , and user friendly to boot. My machine even has the built in fingerprint reader, I'm not using it yet, but I plan to set it up soon.

As with all computers, protect them, keep your anti-virus software up to date, check your firewall settings and stay away from any sites that don't look secure, or anything your AV software warns you about. You take care of your machine, and it'll take care of you !.

I can't say enough good things about IBM Products, I owned my older Thinkpad ( a '99 model ) running WinXP with no problems ,complications or issues, I never called or e-mailed tech support, because I never needed it.

I purchased this machine because I needed more processing power, and more hard drive space, and it was simply time to upgrade, based on my personal usage of the machine.

As far as likes, I like everything about this machine, dislikes ?, I wished I'd bought it sooner /

Compared to other machines , most of my experience with Dell laptop's and HP Pavilions, My experience with IBM Computers has been the most productive and trouble free usage I've had to date. Grab an IBM Thinkpad T60 , and enjoy your mobile computing experience ASAP.
