Kieselstein-Cord vs Barry Cord jewelry

The difference between the two lines ranges from a $80 - $500 piece of QVC-line jewelry vs a $1,000 - $100k+ piece of Kieselstein-Cord jewelry. Whether this is from deliberate misrepresentation or simple ignorance, even though the Barry Cord line of jewelry is well-made and beautiful, the price difference between the Barry Cord line and the Kieselstein-Cord line is substantial.

Here is a simple way to tell the difference between the two lines:

Barry Cord (this line is designed by Barry Kieselstein-Cord for QVC):
- stamped KC Studio "date of production" "stamped moon and star" 925

Kieselstein-Cord (this line is designed by Barry Kieselstein-Cord and sold at limited locations - Bergdorf Goodmans, some Neiman Marcus', select jewelry stores nationwide and Kieselstein-Cord stores around the world):
-stamps vary by age and type of piece but usually have the designer's full name such as: Barry Keiselstein-Cord or B Kieselstein-Cord "date of production" "metal weight"

Also, try going to QVC and see what they have in stock now under Barry Cord and go to the Kieselstein-Cord website and get a feel for the difference between the two lines.

Some of the misrepresented/outrageously overpriced listings I've seen for sale lately are his "Peter the Snake" earrings, ring and bracelet (with ruby eyes) from Barry Cord's QVC line (~$80). There are also toad/frog themed pieces from the QVC line (~$100) that take inspiration from the "Herman Toad" line in his high-end jewelry.

Both of these lines are made by the same designer and the Barry Cord (QVC) pieces ARE beautiful and well-made but don't make the mistake of paying Keiselstein-Cord prices for a Barry Cord piece!
