Signs that a Second Chance Offer is a SCAM

Second Chance Offers are usually used to allow non winning bidders to get an item that they placed a bid on. Unfortunately many ebayers are using Second Chance Offers to their advantage through SCAMMING. Here is a checklist of things to do and look out for when dealing with Second Chance Offers.

Make sure that the Second Chance Offer came through your My Messages inbox in your ebay account. If it did not it is likely a SCAM. Do not commit to a Second Chance Offer that is made through one of your outside email addresses.

Contact the seller through his or her ebay account email address and request their contact infomation along with phone number. Always use contact through their ebay email address because this establishes a record of communication between you and the seller.

If the Seller refuses to offer contact infomation do not commit to the Second Chance Offer.

Second Chance Offers SCAMMING is usually linked to items related to Motors, Laptops, and any other high value goods. Before committing to it make sure that it is legitimate. Make sure it passes all the infomation on my checklist. If you found this guide helpful click YES to make it more visible.
