Vero Rules Regarding Online Game Accounts

So, youre tired of playing your online game account, you thought you'd cash in on ebay for all your hard work, and sell it? Think again!

There are basically two reasons that prevent many people from sucessfully selling their online game accounts.

1.Vero Members are your main problem. This would be the developers of your online game or the owners. They do not want you profiting off of their game and all they have to do is file a complaint with ebay to get your listing removed. Ebay will not discuss this with you, they tell you that you must work it out with the Vero Member before relisting. If you get 2 Vero Member complaints your account will be frozen until you complete a tutorial on Vero Rules. If you relist the item again, your account could be permanently banned from ebay. This does not mean that you can open a new ebay account, they log your ip address and noone in your house will be able to buy or sell on ebay.

2. Sometimes for whatever reasons, your auction is not pulled and sells with a successful bid. Awesome you think, my account sold for $600! Then comes the problem. In many cases with online game accounts, the "buyer" turns out to be a kid, with no ability to pay for the item. Then you are stuck having to try to file for refunds of all the fees ebay has charged you for selling this item.

Some people have tried adding a disclaimer to their auction, and also titling the auction something like "Selling a funny joke with a free game account" Theoretically selling something else, and GIVING for free the name and password of the game account. The Vero Member will still file a complaint in most cases, and there is no forum for discussion about it. If they complain, youre out, period. It should also be said that ebay will share your personal information with Vero Members. This would be your email address and physical address and phone number, and possibly your ip addres, keep in mind that many online game developers will ban your account if they catch you involved in "real world trading" You could end up losing your account and getting nothing in return!

Buying online game accounts is also risky for the buyer, because the seller could come back 6 months later and get their account back by saying to the host company that someone "hacked them". The company will look at who opened the account and from where and return the account to the original owner. After 90 days, paypal nor ebay will do anything to help you get your money back.

For these reasons, I have to tell you, ebay is probably not the best place to buy or sell your online game account. Your only option is to contact the Vero Member and ask their rules regarding sale of accounts or gold. I suggest however, that you not do it from your home computer (or wherever you play) and do not use the same email address that you used at the game site.
